If Argenta is going to become a vibrant arts district, we must find ways to make space for new artists as well as established artists and high end galleries. Diversity in the arts should be measered not jsut in terms of media, but also should be measured in new vs established artists.  After all, who knows where the next Kevin Kresse will come from.  Let's make Argenta a place where we can nurture and grow those new artists in an environment of established artists and vibrant galleries.

This house at 415 Maple Street on the trolley line and directly across the street from City Grove townhomes was auctioned last night. There were only two parties bidding on the house and the bidding started and stopped at $75,000. It is doubtful this bid will be accepted by the Owner, since it was mentioned at the auction that the Owner had $200,000 in the house.

The conversation between the bidders and auction firm continued after the auction for a little while, so a higher offer may have been tendered. In any event given the house size and condition it is doubtful an offer of over $200,000 was recieved

I have spoken with auction firm and the owner is very motivated to sell. However the owner reserves the right to reject the winning bid. This house was listed for a long time by a realtor in the mid $200,000 range and knowing the history of the sales on this house for the last six plus years it would be surprising if a bid of less than $180,000 would be accepted.  Surprising, but not not impossible.

This house at 415 Willow Street for sale by owner recieved a full price offer within hours of advertising here on Argenta News.  The offer has been reportedly accepted and the closing should occur sometime in July. As a neighbor pointed out to me on the street, I neglected to list one of the most important assets of this and any house in Argenta., that being the great neighbors. No doubt that helped!.

The asking price for this house was $130,000, which is about $108 per sq. ft.

The City Grove Townhomes in North Little Rock is nearing completion of the buildings in the 400 block of Maple Street. You can get a feel for the final paint colors and trim details.
