If you haven’t received your electric bill in the mail yet, you soon will. Before you open the bill or if you already have opened it, you might want to consider getting a swig of your favorite alcohol drink of choice before reading the bill. The electric rate increase is showing up in this months bill. And if you think it is bad this month wait untill August when your air conditioning is runniing 24 hours a day.
Sure would have been nice for someone at the City to hold a press conference or send out a press release and tell the citizens of NLR this was happening on our January bill. That way maybe some people could have cut down on their Christmas light displays. No problem informing the press on delays to the Hoga tugboat getting to NLR to join the Hays Fleet and having an article in the Dem/Gaz. Where are our priorities??? Sometimes it seems like City Hall forgets to think like the little guy in Argenta, Sherman Park or Rose City who is just trying to get by.

Tell them to get back in touch with the little guy in NLR and modify the electric rate increase to reflect a multi step increase to lessen the impact on the little guy and encourage conservation.
