Sometimes I even forget how special a place Argenta is. Then I see or hear about somthing or someone doing something special that just makes me glow. This is one of those stories.Early today, I recieved this e-mail form Lynda at Galaxy, which I shortened slightly.
Just the Facts: A couple enters the Galaxy, makes a retro purchase from the “Atomic Shop”. They had just had their valentine’s meal at “The Argenta Seafood Company” and were feeling pretty good. As the song goes……”Love is in the Air”, the couple left to get their vehicle, but along the way they must have run into “cupid”. We wondered, if they were ever coming back. Maybe they forgot about their purchase, maybe they stopped to get a drink, maybe they got lost? Another song came to mind…..”Time keeps on Slipping, slipping, slipping, into the Future. Finally, they showed up. They parked in the Mayor’s spot and the guy get’s out with tears in his eyes, and of couse we didn’t know what to expect. “She just proposed to me on the way to our car” and he showed us his diamond ring she gave him. It was a love story on Main Street on Valentine’s night. It was such a touching story that we gave them their first wedding gift a Chocolate Rasberry candle.
Way to go Wayne & Lynda and Argenta Seafood!! This couple was walking down Main Street after dinner exploring and enjoying the evening. This is exactly what a friendly safe, inviting Main Street is all about. Together the businesses and City made this couple’s evening special. Who knows, perhaps Argenta can become THE PLACE to propose.
Next time Lynda, get a picture. Also if you have a name or address for this couple I am sure there are some other businesses who would like to help this couple make Argenta their special place. I know we at the Baker House would be willing to host their wedding ceremony.
