Apparently in a effort to take advantage of the all the publicity surrounding the sinking of the Salty Parrot, the management wasted in no time in getting a radio ad up on 94.1 The Point Thursday afternoon. Click here to listen to the ad using your mp3 player software. Thanks to the staff over at the The Point for e-mailing this to us.
Also I heard on the street today, that Little Rock may be responsible for sinking the Salty Parrot in a covert night time amphibious operation. I guess the deck gun from the USS Razorback seen here was not intimidation enough.
Youv'e heard the saying...Peace through Strength. If North Little Rock had only agreed to take the destroyer USS Orleck last year when Mayor Hays flirted with the idea of docking the 390 foot long WWII destroyer here, perhaps the Salty Parrot would not be laying on the bottom of the river right now. I've also heard two battleships may be coming available. With those we could shell Bryant, Lonoke and Jacksonville.

Covert ops Written by skirby, on 26-03-2009 20:09 It is my understanding that the removal of dirt on the south side of the Junction Bridge is for a bunker to launch attacks from that side of the river. Beware Argenta for what is to follow. |
no worries Written by sdkaufman, on 26-03-2009 21:57 We have missles in Alltel Arena...they can take out all of LR!!LOL |
Written by ctyankee, on 28-03-2009 07:02 Sounds like the work crew may have also cut power to the bilge pumps when they turned the lights off to leave for the night. Perhaps the city will have a contest for ideas on how to re-float the Parrot. Any suggestions from sidewalk superintendents out there? |
