Over a year ago, Argenta Drug Store on Main Street in downtown North Little Rock rehabbed the outside of their building which included repainting, redoing windows and according to the owner repairing the metal awnings. These awnings are critical to curb appeal of this building and where have they gone? How does a building in the Argenta Historic District get to remove a historic awning then not replace it? Where is the enforcement of our Historic District rules? If this can be done to this Argenta landmark, can I remove the wood trim from the Baker House front porch with no consequences?
