The NLR Times has apparently sunk to a new low in local reporting, or to be more exact lack of local North Little Rock reporting. Of the four front page articles in this Thursday's NLR Times, two were written by the Maumelle reporter, Bill Lawson, one was by Rob Moritz, an Arkansas News Bureau reporter and one article by our local NLR reporter Jeremy Peppas. Of course the front page article by Jeremy on the candidate finances could have been a lot more relevant, if it had been reported in October 30th issue of the Times, five days before the election. The records the Times used were actually turned in on October 28th and were only the inittial reports, the final reports are
not actually due until December 4th for the races which have been
decided.I guess we will see the story in the Times on the final
candidate financial reports sometime around Christmas
Ok, so if
the Times couldn't make the deadline to get the candidate financial
report story in on the October 30th issue, why wasn't it reported in
the November 6th issue last week. Instead they printed the story over
two weeks after the data was turned in by the candidates.
CHANGE THE MASTHEAD GUYS!!!!
You are NOT THE NORTH LITTLE ROCK TIMES
You are THE NORTH OF THE RIVER HISTORY
