I recieved this e-mail today from a regular reader
"Scott, I am sorry to hear of your pulling out of the election, but it is understandable. I am working out of state right now and feel out of the loop on several things. I have really been wanting to get some info from you, regarding Bubba Lloyd. I do not know the man and do not know who to ask, but now that you are back on screen I will ask you the question that I have been wanting to ask YOU. Is this the same guy you were after at the old church in Argenta that was so trashy, and giving the city grief about his rights to do what he wanted with his property?? I will stop the questions there until that is confirmed, but please do so on the blog as I know others are also wanting to know. I do not mean attack him, but just clarify the situation. Thank you"
The answer to the question is ...Yes. Yes this is the same Bubba Lloyd who owns the church that the neighborhood had issues with. The neighborhood took issue with
Mr. Lloyd's use of the church and as is his right, Mr. Lloyd appealed the deciision and won. Since that time, Mr Lloyd has done a very good job maintaining the property and I don't believe there have been any complaints. In general, i would have to say Mr. Lloyd has been a good neighbor, even though he won and could have held it against the neighborhood
Since the appeal, i have also gotten to know Mr. Lloyd personally Although we disgree on some issues, I have come to respect Bubba's business acumen and Bubba has some valid issues with the way the City has been run. I know, Bubba deeply cares about this City and I believe that is one of the strongest bonds we share and that most of the residents of Argenta and this City share with us.
