Tonight is the monthly Third Friday Art Walk, so get out and support the artists and businesses of Argenta!

On the jump is information from Rhonda Reeves about the stuff you'll find at the Baker House this evening; just click "Read More."

If you are an artist who will be exhibiting, or a business that will be open, during the Art Walk, let me know and I'll add your information.

Argenta's beautifully restored Baker House Bed and Breakfast, located at 109 West 5th, NLR's historic district, will be hosting an art reception tonight, Friday September 19, 5pm-8pm during the Argenta ArtWalk featuring the art of Elena Petroukhina, John Watson and Rhonda Reeves.

John Watson is a photographer from Arkansas and many of his works are of prominent Arkansans, impressions of Arkansas and thought provoking reflections of his travels abroad.  From beautiful florals to stunning portraits of  locals such as the late Willie Oates and varied subjects of interest  in between see John's perspective of the world through his lens comes to life.

Elena Petroukhina is a potter, sculpter and painter originally from Russia, she came to Arkansas about 9 years ago as an exchange student.   After graduating with a fine arts degree from UAPB,  Elena taught art at the public schools in Clinton, Arkansas.  A while later she partnered with friends and opened the Circle Cafe, which is located in Argenta Historic District.  Elena's career is a reflection of a multi-talented person with much enthusiasm, in addition to owning the cafe, producing beautiful award winning art she  is currently working at St Andrews in Little Rock restoring the beauty and grace of that historic cathedral.

Rhonda Reeves, that's me, designs and produces one of a kind sculpture you can wear, paints and has a free social networking website, canvasjunkie.com, to promote local art, artists and lovers of art providing a way for them to interact, exchange thoughts and ideas in this busy world.

Look forward to seeing you at the reception, of course I'll be there along with John and Elena so come out meet the artists and enjoy the beauty of their labors.
