It's not just election season at City Hall and in Washington, D.C. -- Argenta Neighborhood Boosters is also soliciting nominations for officers. If you're interested in serving in some capacity with your neighborhood association (please note the use of the key word "your"), drop me a line and I'll get your questions answered (I'm on the nominating committee and, hence, won't be running for any office -- clever, no?). Terms are for two years.

Boosters President Scott Miller is stepping down because of his campaign for Ward 2 alderman, and also because he feels it's important to get new people involved on a regular basis. I don't know yet about the other officers, but I'll post it as soon as I find out.

Also on the Boosters front, I'm heading up planning for the annual Block Party that will be held in mid- to late October on the open lot behind the First Presbyterian Church. There will be food, music, etc. etc. etc. I suppose we won't be able to legally keep the politicians away, so expect some hand-shaking and baby-kissing, as well. If you have any ideas for activities, please contact me with them ASAP.
