Argenta Neighborhood Boosters president Scott Miller has invited all five mayoral candidates — incumbent Pat Hays and challengers Bubba Lloyd, Michelle McClelland, Bill Laman and Jimmy Ard — to speak at the Boosters meeting this Thursday at 6 p.m. in the community room of First Presbyterian Church, located at Fourth and Maple streets.

Each candidate who shows up will be given 10 minutes to speak, with the order determined by random drawing.

I'm going to work up a questionnaire to hand out to each candidate (I'll mail it to any who don't show Thursday) and will post their answers on the blog. I know I've asked this once, but I'll reiterate: If you have a question you'd like the mayoral (or Ward 2 aldermanic) candidates to answer, e-mail it to me and I'll add it to the list.

Other issues being covered at Boosters this week include traffic changes and pedestrian safety, the Argenta-wide yard sale, and the annual block party that is happening next month.
