The Argenta Art Gallery in the old Ownes Funeral Home building at Fifth and Main streets is under new management -- and that manager is none other than V.L. (Lynette) Cox, who is oen of the organizing forces behind the Argenta Art Studios at First Presbyterian Church and a former Argenital now living in Lakewood. Lynette was tapped by gallery owner Ken Davenport, and the gallery will now be the exclusive dealer of her works, as well. In fact, starting this week the gallery features all new works, and also represents the artists Doug Gorrell, Kevin Kresse, Brady Taylor and Keri Young. The Arkansas Art Gallery is open Monday through Saturday. During daylight hours the store is minded by Josh Davenport, and Lynette is there in the evenings -- until 6 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and noon to 8 p.m. Saturdays. Drop in your neighborhood art gallery and see the works of some of the area's best artists -- and make sure you say hey to Josh or Lynette and thank them for helping promote the arts in Argenta.
