The first City Grove townhome, located at Fourth and Maple streets, will have its grand opening and ribbon cutting tomorrow at 10 a.m., with tours offered from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Too rich for my blood...

We loaded up Rescue 1 and went by the Open House last Friday; took a tour of the townhome.

I was struck peculiar at how "vertical" it was. It was megacool (made me wish for my young single days), but I got to wondering: if you live there, what do you do if you break your leg and have to be on crutches for a month?

In any event, it was a bit too pricey for me; these things start at about a quarter million, if I recall.

(1) get 2 sets of crutches, 1 for each level; (2) learn to hop on 1 foot up/down stairs, you'll get very good at this after a few days; (3) stay on the level with the kitchen & bathroom & just sleep on the couch; or (4, my personal fav) get a "boy toy" (or "eye candy) to schlep stuff to you & assist you in any way that you see necessary & within reason since you come across as being married and truly faithful to your lovely bride.
