Walkers Enjoy Wine and Art At The Baker House Article by rhonda from canvasjunkie.com Friday, August 14, 2008, Argenta's first scheduled soft opening"Third Friday ArtWalk", seemed as if it might be the victim of bad weather, but instead it turned out to be a cool and welcome change. The early afternoon rain made set up a little more difficult as the working group, some of their spouses and friends donned rain gear and trudged on to set up the tents, signs and balloons in preparation for the artists.
Luckily, by the time the artists arrived the rain had ceased and the skies cleared. Thanks to the hard work of everyone involved, the designated venues were manned by artists just in time. Not just in art galleries and studios, but on front porches, furniture stores, cafes and in tents, art of all types and styles was displayed in unexpected places for everyone to enjoy.
All agreed that the Argenta ArtWalk was a great sucess. Looking forward to seeing you for an even bigger and better event September 19.
