Late-breaking notice of an event tonight, as reported in The North Little Rock Times: A benefit for the race horse advocacy group We Speak for Them will be held tonight at Reno's at 8 p.m. The speaker will be Shane Sellers, a retired jockey, and he will be signing his autobiography, "Freedom's Rein." According to the article, We Speak for Them seeks to stop cruel practices in horse racing, including the use of anabolic steroids and race-day medicines, which the group considers to be harmful and inhumane.

I would have attended this had I known in time. Is there a way to still purchase a book with proceeds going towards this organization? |

I can still get you a book. Shane is in town till Monday night but he left a few books signed with Traci the president of We Speak for Them. OR you can go to Wordsworth book store they have a couple there. |
