1000 Motorhomes all along the River

Well, it appears that NO ONE is worried about
the fact that ( new estimate ) 1,000 ( ONE THOUSAND! )
Motorhomes will be arriving in September expecting
'full service hookups' at the silly little RV Park
Mayor Hays is trying to build...
...because they absolutely KNOW there won't be room
at that park for more than 60 Motorhomes. 80 or so
if they 'cram them in like Sardines'.
Mayor Hays and the North Little Rock Chamber of
Commerce are simply letting these poor people
BELIEVE they will ALL have Water and Electric
for their $150 to $180 per Coach registration fee.
The plan is to just let them all find out they
have been cheated AFTER THEY GET HERE.
The plan is also to NOT let the public be aware
that this ARMY of moving houses is going to have
permission to totally take over the entire
North Little Rock Riverfront for FIVE DAYS.
They might even have to block off Riverfront Drive
for FIVE DAYS and use it as part of the 'campground'.

As of the end of May there were 250 pre-registered
motor coach rally participants.
That’s 10 times the normal number of pre-registrations.
We are expecting 500 to 1,000 high-end motor coach homes
with their families to park along the north shore of the
Arkansas River ( for FIVE DAYS! ).

There is even a huge PICTURE being used as the 'cover'
of the newsletter which shows a full-size Motorhome
simply parked on the grass of Riverfront park, and
NOT in the 'RV Park'.
So if the intention, all along, has been to just totally
give over every available piece of grass along the
North side of the River to these oil-dripping, rut-creating
double-axle behemoths... then what is all this hullaballoo
about the stupid 'RV Park'?
The only reason for the RV Park is to make the upper muck-e-mucks of the FMCA organizing committee ( who arrive before the Rally starts ) 'happy' while the rest of the poor slobs are going to be scattered to the winds AFTER they arrive. This is the actual PLAN.
They are going to come and tear the crap out of
Riverfront park no matter what.
The key to this all along was just to make sure no
one is aware of what's really going to happen so
they can't complain about it ahead of time.
Nice way to run a city, Mr. Hays.
This is truly a disaster 'in progress'.
I just feel for all those poor, retired, people
who are going to pay good money only to get
screwed out of what they were promised ( Full service
hookups for five days ) AFTER they arrive... and the
organizers ( sic: P. Hays and crew ) KNOW they are doing
this and not telling anyone the truth all in the name
of some unknown amount of money that's supposed to
flow down the streets like water once they all arrive.
It is such a blatant, self-serving cash grab at the expense of the good people of the FMCA that it stinks to high heaven.
They, and everyone in North Little Rock who is
going to stand by and let this happen, should
be ashamed of themselves. |
