Galaxy Furniture and Fine Art Gallery is hosting the Argenta 2nd Friday Art Show and Sale on July 11th featuring local artist Ludwik "Koz" Kozlowski.  Born in Poland in 1938, Koz immigrated to the US after graduating from medical school in 1969.  Previously he was the  Associate Clinical Professor at UAMS, but retired from the medical field in 1999 after major heart surgery. 

Koz began  painting in 2000, and stated that he was greatly encouraged by local artist VL Cox in a chance meeting and has continued his  career in art with much success.  When contacted VL Cox stated that she owns several of his works and is inspired by Koz and his fascinating stories of his family and immigration to the US.

Koz has been featured in many local, national and international publications, received numerous awards, his paintings may be found in collections in the US as well as many countries abroad.  In his artist statement Koz simply states "I try to create art that is refreshing,enjoyable and uplifting."

Koz will be a demonstrating artist at the Starving Artist Cafe when they open in Argenta.  Be sure to come out to Galaxy to show your support for the arts and welcome North Little Rock  artist Ludwig "Koz" Kozlowski to the Argenta Community.
